Meatballs 4 Ways
I have a confession to make. Don't tell your father this. You know how most of the time I make homemade meatballs? Well, sometimes they aren't so homemade. During the week when I'm trying make a quick dinner and the freezer is out of my homemade meatballs, these are the ones I buy. They are so good y'all didn't even notice!
Whether homemade or not, here are 4 delicious and easy ways you can make dinner with a bag of meatballs!
Way #1: Sweet & Spicy BBQ Meatballs:
- Add 1/2 a bag to a pot with a little beef broth or water.
- Add a bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce (I like Sweet Baby Rays Sweet & Spicy).
- Cover and let simmer on Medium for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking or burning on bottom.
- Serve as sliders on Hawaiian slider rolls topped with pepper jack cheese or just on a plate.
- Add 1/2 a bag to a pot with a your favorite marinara sauce.
- Cover and let simmer on Medium for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve over spaghetti or on sub rolls topped with shredded mozzarella
- Add 1/2 a bag to a pot with 2 cans French onion soup and 1 can beef broth
- Cover and let simmer on Medium for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- If gravy needs to be thicker, mix a little cornstarch and a little warm water to make a paste and add to gravy to thicken.
- Serve over egg noodles or mashed potatoes
- Add 1/2 a bag to a pot with a little water and your favorite teriyaki or other asian sauce (I like to use Trader Joe's General Tso's sauce).
- Cover and let simmer on Medium for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking or burning meatballs.
- Top with sesame seeds and serve over rice
