Pizzagña
This is one of those TikTok recipes I saw somewhere (since I'm not a TopTopper - as your father calls it). Much like Taco Pizza, I thought, "hey, we love pizza and lasagna so this has to be a hit." And it was. It kind of reminds me of deep dish Chicago style pizza but in a casserole. You can add any pizza toppings you prefer in the layers.
Ingredients:
- 2 refrigerated pizza crusts (like Pillsbury)
- 1 package pepperoni
- 1 pound cooked, drained seasoned beef or Italian sausage
- 16 oz shredded mozzarella
- 4 oz can black olives
- 1 small chopped green pepper
- 1 small chopped sweet onion
- 1 jar pizza sauce
- Parmesan cheese
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Stretch out 1 pizza crust in the bottom and up the sides of a 9 x13 dish that has been sprayed with
cooking spray. - Top pizza crust with 1/2 of the pizza sauce.
- Top sauce with a layer the beef/sausage, then cheese, then pepperoni, and veggies.
- Place 2nd pizza crust on top of this layer and repeat with toppings.
- Season the top with some garlic powder, parmesan cheese, and Italian herbs
- Bake for 20-25 minutes and let cool for 15 before cutting.
