Grilled Chicken Gyros
This recipe includes lots of shortcuts which makes it perfect for a quick and tasty weeknight dinner! BTW, this is not an authentic gyro recipe but it works for us.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound chicken tenderloins
- Greek seasoning (I use Cavender's)
- Zesty Italian dressing
- 1/2 cucumber, sliced
- 1 roma tomato, sliced
- 1/4 cup feta cheese
- 1/4 red onion thin sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Tzatziki sauce
- Pitas or Naan
Preparation:
- Season chicken with Greek seasoning and add 1 cup of Italian dressing.
- Mix together well and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Grill chicken until cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.
- Mix together cucumber. tomato, feta, onion, oil, and 2 teaspoons Greek seasoning.
- Warm pitas / naan, add some of the salad, chicken, and top with Tzatziki.
