Whole Grilled Red Snapper

After Hurricane Florence in 2018 our fish monger at Seven Seas had a ton of fresh red snapper.  These beauties were so good grilled and served with Spanish rice, green beans, and salad.   I also love Mango Pepper sauce from the Fresh Market with snapper.

There is something about putting the whole fish in the middle of the table and everyone eating from it together!  The recipe below if for 1 grilled fish.

Ingredients:
1 whole snapper, prepped and scored by your fish monger
1/2 lemon sliced
1/2 onion sliced
2 garlic cloves
2 pads of butter
olive oil
salt and pepper
cooking spray

Instructions:
Heat grill to medium heat
Salt and pepper inside and outside of fish.
Rub Olive oil on both sides of fish
Spray grill or fish grill basket with cooking spray
Fill fish with lemon slices, onion, garlic, and butter
Grill directly or in a grill basket for 6-7 minutes per side for a medium sized snapper.
Carefully remove to plate.
