Papa Robert's Linguine Bake

This is Papa Robert's simple and cheesy linguine bake recipe and it is real....real good!  This has been taste tested and certified by Chatham Walters!

Ingredients:
3/4 box of linguine
2 jars of good pasta sauce like Rao’s
1 can of diced tomatoes
1.5 pounds of lean beef or Italian sausage (or a mix)
2-3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons oregano
1 teaspoon basil & oregano (or Italian seasoning)
salt and pepper
A pinch of red pepper flakes

Preparation:
Preheat over to 350.
Season beef or sausage (or a mix) with salt and pepper.
Brown meat in a large oven-proof pan, drain off fat, wiping pan with a paper towel as well.
Return meat to pan, add jarred sauces, diced tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, oregano, basil, red pepper, and additional salt and pepper.
Mix well and let simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Meanwhile cook linguine according to box instructions, drain.
Mix pasta into sauce well.
Top with cheese, cover with lid, and put in the oven for 1 hour.
Remove from oven and keep covered until ready to serve!
Serve with salad, bread, and The Godfather!

Notes:  you can add spinach and other veggies like onions and peppers as well to this recipe, whatever you like.  If you are cutting back on sugar you can swap out jarred sauces with cans of tomato purée as well.
