Baked Nachos
So easy...so good....so cheesy! These nachos are the perfect Game Day crowd-pleaser! If you use Tostitos Scoops they turn out like nacho bites that are less messy and easy to eat. Top the base recipe with anything you love on nachos like black beans, olives, and diced tomato.
Ingredients:
Tortilla chips (I like to use Tostitos Scoops but any will do)
2 cups shredded cheese (taco blend or Mexican blend)
1 jar of queso blanco (I like Hernandez brand)
1 pound of lean ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning (or make your own)
Optional toppings:
Cholula to spice up the beef
Salsa, sour cream, guacamole
Diced tomatoes
Black olives
Black beans or Refried beans
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Cook beef and drain off grease.
Return beef to pan and add taco seasoning, a little water, and a few dashes of Cholula for spice.
Let simmer for 10 minutes.
Pour half of the queso blanco cheese into a small pot and warm up.
Spray a baking sheet pan with cooking spray and cover with a layer of tortilla chips.
Sprinkle all of the beef on top of the tortilla chips.
Cover beef with shredded cheese.
Bake for about 10 minutes in over or until cheese is completely melted.
Remove from oven and use a spoon to drizzle the warm queso blanco over the nachos in both directions.
Top with your optional toppings and enjoy!
