Creamed Potatoes

Instant mashed potatoes....Don't Do It!  Making homemade mashed or "creamed" potatoes is simple and worth the extra time.   Also, don't be afraid of leftovers....warm them up with a little extra milk to make them creamy again or use leftovers to make potato cakes!

Ingredients:
8-10 small red potatoes
1/2 cup milk, cream, or half & half (I like using half & half)
1 stick of butter, melted
1/2 cup of sour cream
salt, pepper, and garlic powder

Preparation:
Quarter potatoes and boil until soft, about 20-25 minutes depending on size.
Drain potatoes and while still hot add milk or cream, butter, and sour cream.  Use a hand held mixer to mix until creamy.  Add more milk/cream as needed.  Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
