Simple Crockpot Boston Butt

Look at those red pepper flakes!!
Super easy way to make a weeknight meal that you guys love!  The key is making sure that you have an Eastern NC red pepper and vinegar based BBQ sauce and like Smithfield's unless you are making your own.  Stay true to your BBQ roots baby....no Kraft allowed!

Ingredients:
3 pound Boston butt
1 jar of an Eastern NC red pepper and vinegar
based BBQ sauce (like Smithfield's)

Preparation:
Add a 1/4 inch of BBQ sauce to crock pot.
Place butt in the crock pot on high for 2 hours and then cook on low for 6-8 additional hours, it should be falling apart.
Remove to a plate and shred with 2 forks.  Toss any excess fat.
Serve on a plate or bun with extra sauce.
You can also freeze any extra for another night.

This is how Avery likes leftover Boston butt:  a bbq chip with a little baked beans and shredded pork!
A Boston butt nacho!
