Peaches 'N Cream Belgian Waffles
Have I mentioned that July peaches in SC are to die for? They are so good that we literally look for ways to incorporate them into meals. I got the idea for these waffles from Southern Living magazine and needless to say they were a big hit! You can make your own waffle batter which I have many times but I absolutely love Krusteaz waffle mix.
Ingredients:
Krusteaz Supreme Waffle Mix "Belgian Light & Crispy"
Oil
1-2 Eggs
A few shakes of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3-4 fresh peaches peeled and sliced
whipped cream
confectioners sugar
Preparation:
Prepare batter according to the box instructions for the # of waffles you want to make.
Mix in cinnamon and vanilla.
Preheat waffle iron and pray liberally with cooking spray.
Pour batter into waffle iron and cook each one according to instructions for your iron. Mine takes about 3 minutes each.
Plate waffle and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Add a dollop of whipped cream in the middle and top with lots of peach slices.
Enjoy the goodness!
