Wings!!
Ain't no shame in Chatham's game! |
I love wings. Knox loves wings. Chatham loves wings. Avery loves wings. But it can cost a small fortune to feed all of us wings if we go out so I learned to make them at home myself. We use Frank's Hot Sauce for the perfect heat level.
Ingredients: (Makes 24 wings)
Package of 12 whole wings - It's cheaper to buy the whole wing and cut them into the drumette and wingette and throw the wing tips away. Just use a sharp knife to cut at the joint....google it or find a video on youtube to show you how.
1/4 stick of butter
1/2 cup Franks Hot Sauce (we prefer this over Frank's wing sauce)

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 250.
Spread wings out on a large non-stick baking sheet or wire rack over the baking sheet. Use 2 pans if you need to. (It helps to put parchment paper on the pan to keep them from sticking and you don't want them to stick or the skin will come off)
Bake wings for 30 minutes at 250.
Crank up the heat to 425 and bake for 30 minutes. Turn wings over and bake another 15-20 minutes until crispy on both sides.
Meanwhile, melt butter and mix in hot sauce.
Remove chicken wings from baking pan into a large bowl and toss with the sauce.
Let the sauce soak in for a few minutes and then toss again before serving.
Even Avery loves wings! |
