Pregame Hamburger Steaks

It didn't matter if it was church league basketball, junior pee wee football, 8-year-old baseball, or competitive junior tennis, your dad's brother Mike always made a version of this dish for him as a pregame meal.  He always served it with a baked potato w/ sour cream and Lea & Perrin's Worcestershire on the side.  You can also use cubed steak in this recipe.  In this pic, it is served with a Knox favorite:  Parmesan oven potatoes!

Ingredients:

1-2 pounds lean ground beef, formed into large patties
Worcestershire sauce
1 Vidalia onion, sliced
2 small green bell peppers, sliced (or a mix of colors)
salt, pepper, and garlic powder to season

Preparation:
Form beef into large patties and heat up a skillet to medium-high heat.
Season patties with salt, pepper, garlic powder and a few dashes of Worcestershire
Add patties to pan and cook about 2 minutes per side to get a nice crust on each.
Reduce heat to medium, cover and cook another 5 minutes until cooked through.
Remove patties to a plate and most of the access fat in the pan.
Add peppers and onions to the same pan on medium-high heat for about 5-7 minutes or until seared and cooked.  You can cook them shorter or longer depending on how sweet or crunchy you like them.
Serve hamburger steak with peppers and onions on top or on the side.

Note:  Don't forget to win!!
