Country Style Ribs
Meal 1 |
Meal 2 |
We love making country style pork ribs because they have a lot of meat and make 2 meals: ribs the first night and pork sandwiches the 2nd night. You can cook them on the grill or in the oven. These are awesome with my potato salad and baked beans! Yum!
Ingredients:
2 packs of country style pork ribs
3 bottles of a Memphis style barbecue sauce
Lawrys seasoning salt
4-5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
3-4 fresh jalapeños, sliced (optional - adds spice to the Memphis sweet sauce)
Preparation:
In a large tin pan, add a little water to the bottom (less than 1/2 an inch)
Top ribs with minced garlic and sliced jalapeños.
Seal the pan tightly with foil and cook at 400 for 1 hour.
Remove from oven and drain liquid from pan (you'll need someone to help with this lol)
Cover ribs in sauce, reseal with foil and return to oven at 350 degrees for another hour.
Repeat process of draining liquid, re-sauce ribs, return to oven without foil this time.
Cook 45 more minutes uncovered at 300 or until top is brown and starting to crust. (You can also broil for a few minutes at the end to get that crust on them).
*Reminder that these ribs are all different sizes and in addition all pans and ovens are different so just keep checking them for tenderness each time you pull them out and adjust times as needed. They should be falling off the bone, easy to shred when ready.
